Month of May has come to its end today. For May is an important month especially for the Kadazan/Dusun/Murut communites in Sabah celebrating the Kaamatan Festival or The Harvest Festival. A month long celebrations which was started and launched in Beaufort by the Chief Minister on the 1st May. One thing for sure, KDCA is the right place to go now..better get early or otherwise you will miss the Grand Finale and events happening there. Ummph ya, it also reminds me to soon pull of the plug, need to get ready as I'm working in KDCA for the closing ceremony isk..isk.. :-(
As you can see here, the pix taken in 3 places (KDCA/City Mall/Centrepoint) for the Kaamatan Celebrations. My family and I wish you:-

What is your combination?

I was on my way home fetching hubby, time was almost 5.15pm. Cruising along the Likas highway and tuning to the Lite FM, the channel which I love so much even though some friends of mine said is rather boring especially with their selections of songs..but not me..haha...coz they play my music of the 80's YES!!
Ok, the DJ was mentioning something of a combinations of fruits and vegetables (sort of future new fruits+veggie) for example: Tomato and oranges as in ='Toranges' though sounds weird to me. So a caller was saying, spinach + apple = spinapple could be her favourites...but what a yucks to me! outer red skin and green innerside. Strawberry and carrots = berycarr..which sounds ok to me :-) and I can have the Vit C and A which is good for my skin lah..
Tell me, whats your combination... ;-) who knows we'll be eating this combination in the future
(got scientist mah...) ;-)

Portable modem

Finally I've got myself a Vodafone Mobile Connect Modem from Celcom with 3G and 3G Broadband. A portable modem, so that means I can bring it anywhere as long as there's a 3G or GPRS coverage. I'm not much into gadget things but I think IT has made our lifes easier, true or not? hehe..
Have you ever thought how important it is to have a handphone nowadays? Without it, I feel uneasy, hubby might be looking for me, what if the nanny trying to reach me about Isaac or maybe the schools calling for parents and last but not least...the BOSS!

Thanks Zie for introducing me to Fiona :-)

Monday blog..whats up?

Mummy's gift (Nike backpack) normally I bring lots of stuff during outings including theirs(kids).

Watch out girls!
Hi everyone,
I've been away for awhile, as I told my colleagues I need to get back the 'mood' the 'tempo' to start up my blogs, yeah it really looks dull here(blog)..Recently it has been a long and difficult weeks for us all(families). We lost someone very dear in the family and it seems everybody trying to get back on their tracks by now. But anyway, here are some pix, recently taken as we bought the two gals these 'scooters'. As you can see here, Cynthia and Ruth proudly show off their scooters and even riding it around Palm Square in Centre Point. So I took the opportunity snapping their pix while daddy 'buzzy' looking for mummy's belated Mother's Day gift lah..

Thoughts and prayers for you..

Time On Earth
I know that my time on earth is through
And now I'm coming home to you.
The Lord that gave my life to me
Will now set my spirit free.
I have known joy.
I have known sorrow
I have loved you like there was no tomorrow.
And through it all I have no regrets
because you're the nicest people
I have ever met.

Natural Disaster here and there - is it a sign?

More than 10,000 feared dead in China's deadly eartquake. The toll likely to soar as hundreds are still believed trapped in a rubble of collapsed buildings. When I saw the pix and read the front page of a local paper, I think my face turns icy-cold. Can't imagine the aftermath.. :-(
Is it a sign we are nearing to the end of the world? (which I hope I can still see my grandchildren) or is it a sign of our thinning ozone layer? etc..etc..
Natural disasters happening here and there, really scares me off
My heart goes to all the families waiting and searching for their missing loved ones..(feel so sad)

Oh no!

I was turn down by Smorty (who's that guy?) hehe...nope! Smorty.com
Yeah I was discussing with my colleague about it yesterday..she told me to apply some Money Making sites which eventually gives you some new source of income. But luck is still not on my side yet, checked my email this morning and got this reply " Your blog has been declined" please amend errors and re-apply(well...that sort of message)
Anyway I'll have to do something about it, ie: genuine (original) contents, but they must have read my front blog page which I copy/paste something about Women as most postings done base on original ideas ;-)
Better try my luck again in few days time

The inner fear in me...

I had my pap-smear done this morning. Before I came over to the clinic, I felt anxious about my blood test report done about a week ago, which I was sure Dr. Anita will explain the results to me. I couldn't help being anxious and a lil' fear, of course I tried to stand and think positive about it. It really saddens me at the moment as both beloved grandmothers diagnosed with malignant tumors, throat (mum's side) & bladder (dad's side). Both of them in their 80's.
Few years back I lost my two aunts died of cancer, aunt Juliana of throat cancer and aunt Angeline of breast cancer. It really scares me alot and at times a HUGE fear just thinking about it. If it's not me but who's next? I thought of going for another blood test for Genetic Testing for Cancer as I think we're on high-risk on this.
Coming back to my visit this morning, Dr. Anita explained to me that most organs functioning well except the mild Thallasemia which I can't do much but just to ensure I eat balance food with sufficient iron in it (detected when I was pregnant with Ruth).
Here's a site which I think some of you might want to read about the disease (cancer).
Eat healthy and stay healthy buddies!

Yesterday was Mother's Day celebration. Woke up early, about 5.30am..not because I was excited about the day :-) but just couldn't sleep back. So, I made myself a cup of Nescafe and turn on the TV. By 7am onwards, one by one started to come out from the room..daddy, Ruth then Isaac..as always Cynthia was the last person...
Took a quick breakfast then set to Donggongon with my two gals to fetch my Mother's Day cuppies from Deana . Thanx Deana, we love your cuppies :-)
We bought some roses...and by the time we reach at mum's, lunch was serve ready on the table...thanx MUM! and among all my old time favourite food, she made me this sambal (sort of appetizer)..'petai fried with prawn paste(belacan) and shrimp'. It reminds me of my younger days hahaha..eating 'sambal', all the 'sayur kampung' as I used to say it.
I didn't take any pix, terrible...(no excuses), Mother's Day is such an important celebration and no pix..darn! Later, we made our way to my in-laws..I hope she like the gifts we gave her hehe...

Why Women Are SO Special....

Got this from my colleague...very true! :-)
Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, 'I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed.'
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.
She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.
She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry. She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.
She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the excursion and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her bag.
Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.Dad called out, 'I thought you were going to bed.' 'I'm on my way,' she said. She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.
She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and radios, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the basket, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack.
She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals. About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. 'I'm going to bed.' And he did...without another thought.
Anything extraordinary here?Wonder why women live longer...? 'CAUSE THEY ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL...... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)Send this to five phenomenal women today...they'll love you for it! Forward this to as many men as you can so that they know why women are so special ?? ....whether a housewife or a working woman, every woman is special in her own way..
if U men agree, hand on heart, that women are special, just respect them as they are ...and their individualism and independence.
Cheers to womankind!!
